The CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools will provide you with a secure understanding of the knowledge and skills needed when working directly with pupils in school environments . The award is made up of units each representing small steps of learning.

What does the qualification cover?

TDA 3.1:   Communication and professional relationships with children, young people and adults

TDA 3.2:  Schools as Organisations

TDA 3.3:   Support Learning Activities

TDA 3.4: Promote children and young   people’s positive behaviour

TDA 3.5:   Develop professional relationships with children, young people and adults

TDA 3.6:   Promote equality, diversity and inclusion in work with children and young people

TDA 3.7: Support assessment for learning

CYP Core 3.1:   Understand child and young person development

CYP Core3.3:   Understand how to safeguard the well-being of children and young people

CYP Core 3.4:   Support children and young people’s health and safety

SHC 32: Engage in personal development in health, social care or children’s and young peoples’ settings

The above units total 32 credits

Who is it suitable for?

Anyone working in roles that offer specialist support for pupils’ learning.

How is it assessed?

It will be assessed using a range of methods including direct holistic observations,     professional witness statements, work   products you have produced to support   pupils, portfolio of own written work       reflecting on own practice and Q & A     professional discussions.

How long does it take to complete?

You can usually complete it in a year.
