Do you have TAs who hold QCF Level 3, with the potential to take on more responsibilities and leadership roles within school?

Would you like an alternative to the numerous online HLTA courses?

CHM in partnership with Belmont School will be offering our new HLTA Programme from Autumn 2018

Suitable for Primary and Special School TAs.

Why choose our programme…..

The CHM HLTA Course was devised following an experience by four Teaching Assistants at The Milestone School, who completed an on-line HLTA course.

The Teaching Assistants found the course was not structured to the individual needs and identity of the school and it’s pupils. Assessors did not visit the school or meet with the candidates, and the course was based solely on completing a number of assignments rather than professional practice.

The CHM Teaching School HLTA course is based on supporting and developing reflective practice leading to a portfolio of evidence which demonstrates competence against the HLTA standards. Each candidate will be allocated an assessor, who will be an experienced colleague who is also in current practice and therefore has a sound understanding of the role of HLTAs.

The course is designed for staff in current practice; assessors and candidates will therefore be able to tailor their learning to the specific requirements of their school situation and to the needs of the pupils who they support.
